That was the first clip show tonight that I enjoyed. The Green Grass one was watchable but not fantastic but this, whilst I would have rather had a new episode, it was still good.
My Family - Series 9 Page 4
It utlised clips from the last clip show they did - 2003's My Family Reloaded.
And somebody PLEASE smash Alfie's guitar. He must be the only sitcom character ever who I would very gladly punch.
Him and Alf Garnett.
Nah, Alf is brilliant, even if he is a bit of a nutter.
But Alfie really is an absolute unmitigated disaster of a character.
The clip show was probably not a wise idea... it certainly highlighted to me how the show has gone downhill. I'd forgotten just how good the character of Nick was. Alfie isn't a patch on him.
Series ten and eleven commissioned but will that be it?
The triva page in the My Family section of this website says series eleven will be in 2012, or that's the way I read it anyway. Is this correct?
Sounds plausible.
I know they're recording 16 episodes at once. Maybe it's so Robert Lindsay and Co can have a break for 18 months or so.
Perhaps.
I'm amazed at how long this series has kept going. They should've axed it around 2006-ish back when the show was getting 7.5m-10m viewers.
Why? Those are bloody good figures. There's no way they'd cancel a programme with that audience!
Hi,
Editor of My Family Online here... this evening I recently posted the news story about Series Ten recording starting soon... but I'm just a bit concerned that I've listed the wrong venue because as far as I could see Teddington Studios has been listed as the venue on the BBC Tickets website, but I know, from the My Family section at this website and others, that it's recorded at Pinewood Studios...
Thanks for any help/advice, it will be most appreciated.

Teddington is part of The Pinewood Studios Group, so it's quite believable that they may have moved for this series. I know a number of other shows that have moved between the two for different episodes in the same series. It does appear to be at Teddington this time.

Thanks, Aaron! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't posting any incorrect information, hoping to actually go and see an episode or two get recorded for this series!
