Last I heared it hasn't been given the green light yet but I am sure we know soon, I hope it does come back though.
Has it not be recommissioned yet then? Shame if not, better than most other stuff (don't mistake that for IT'S GREAT cos it isn't).
I found the infomation on Wikpedia so I am not sure how accurate it is but here is a extract from the site and the link too, so if you want to check it out.
"The BBC has not yet given the green light on a fifth series however strong ratings suggest a commission will be made later this year. A Christmas special may also be given the green light."

It shouldn't come back because it's awful. All terrible sitcoms should be cancelled - Life of Riley, The Green Green Grass - and thank goodness the BBC came to their senses over Not Going Out. Now all we need is for GGG to be decommisioned.

I can't disagree with you much. Unfortunately in my position on this site, I don't think that my input would really be noted - not reflective enough of the general public or some such tosh. I do hope that a fifth series is given the go-ahead though, definitely.
If they don't get a 5th series John Sullivan should just write something totally separate of OFAH. Come up with something totally new John.

Mainly because you'll watch anything. I'm with the The Rook on this one. Kill it. Kill it dead.
I enjoyed series 1 - 3 but not 4 but if he made it more interesting I would watch a 5th series, if not I won't be upset about it not returning.
The BBC has axed it, so I think it's highly improbable series 5 will get made.
I must say it slightly disturbs me that there is a 17 year old spending his time going around town canvassing public opinion on a MOR sitcom, when at his age he should be shagging, drinking and smoking crack*
