Just wrote these.

WE SEE A LARGE HALL WITH ROWS AND ROWS OF EMPTY CHAIRS.ON THE STAGE WE SEE A LONG TABLE WITH EMPTY CHAIRS FACING OUT INTO THE HALL.ON THE WALL BEHIND THE TABLE WE SEE A SIGN.WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE ALZHEIMERS SOCITEY.

WE SEE A GROUP OF SIX MEN DANCING TOGETHER.ON THEIR HATS,LEGS,ELBOWS AND SHOES ARE TIED LOTS OF LITTLE BELLS WHICH JANGLE AS THEY DANCE.IN THEIR HANDS ARE HELD STICKS WHICH ARE KNOCKED TOGETHER AS THEY CONTINUE TO DANCE.ON THEIR BACKS ARE LARGE SPANISH FLAGS.TWO MEN ARE WATCHING.ONE TURNS TO THE OTHER.

Who are they?

Moorish Dancers.

BOTH MEN WALK OFF.

Steve, the Alzheimers on raised a sickly smile, but I am a bit baffled by the second. The Moors were berbers who were driven out of the Iberian peninsula by the fledgling Spanish state in the fifteenth century; but you do know in any case that Morris is simply a corruption of Moorish? The dancers originally wore blackface, hence the name. (Some troops rather controversially cling onto the tradition.)

I'll hold my hand up and say I didn't know much about the Moors and Spain.I was clicking on things on my computer and saw Moors and Spain, next thing Moorish Dancers sprung to mind and hence that feble attempt at trying to write something funny about something I know nothing about.Poor effort on my part.
