Thanks Nat. I like the appearance of the HTCs, if that counts.

I'm still researching, mind.

My requirements are: immediate updates when I get an email, decent web access and decent camera. Not concerned about gaming or stuff like that, or fancy add ons.

Oh, and it must make and receive telephone calls.

HTC desire hd would still be my vote :D

My missus has an HTC Desire. It's awesome stuffs. I ordered myself a mini tablet PMP thing the other day that has Android on. I want it now.

*shakes fist at no-post Sunday*

Jut to add to previous discussion- as an iPhone user, I say get a HTC Android phone. The best is HTC Desire HD, my fella has that. Previous model of Desire is also good if you're not concerned about the latest model. I think HTC wildfire also gets good feedback but doesn't have as many bells and whistles as desires.

I'd recommend the HTC Incredible S as well (especially if you can find some idiot listing it as 'Incerdible S' on eBay and win it for about £150 less than the others on there).

Slightly less ridiculously large screen than the Desire HD but same pixel count so a bit clearer and much better battery life. Essentially the same spec apart from that.

It still has a slighty bigger screen than the iPhone 4 and (controversial for a phone, I know) actually lets you make phone calls even when you're holding it, unlike the iPhone 4.

My iPhone 4 makes calls just fine while being held.

Is incredible S android? I thought it was windows.

I have a MAC and am looking for an easy to use free program to transfer DVD's etc to my ipod (or the iPad I am looking to get in the near future). I have downloaded Hadbrake but it just won't play ball. Any suggestions guys?

I've used MacTheRipper & Popcorn before but I'm not sure if they'll do what you want.

Have you tried using good ole Disk Utility, saving it as a image and dragging it onto your iPod? I know iPod don't really do drag n drop, but maybe there's a third party iTunes add-on thing?

I've still not got a smart phone :(

I've been looking at buying a used one from somewhere like CEX. You get a full 12 months guarantee and it is fully cleaned up, etc, unlike it would be from eBay. Would you buy from somewhere like that?

For e.g: http://uk.webuy.com/phones/product.php?mastersku=SHTCLEO1

Or even this iPhone: http://iphones2buy.co.uk/iphone_view.asp?m=iPhone2G8GB&id=10027

Anyone know how to easily share a photos folder over the internet? I would have hoped iPhoto would have this option but I can't find it. Nothing too complicated it's not worth it, just a program or option that lets someone else remotely view photos in a folder or through iPhoto.

Cheers!

Can't you just put them on Facebook and only share the folder with the specific person?

Otherwise it's all that FTP bollocks isn't it?

Or http://www.apple.com/ilife/iweb/ (maybe)

Anyway. Bed.

Ah, no Lady Leevils wants remote access to the iPhoto library. There's like a million gigs worth of photos.

From another Mac? http://www.apple.com/remotedesktop/ ?
