That one too.
Definitely the cleverest sitcom around, cleverer even than Frasier because of it's subtlety. The amount of recurring jokes and back jokes referring to previous episodes is just amazing. Think I'll have to have another re-watch in preparation for the film, whenever it arrives. As a side note, I have used this show more than any other as a source of MSN names. It's just so quotable.
Just been reading about the film on this thread. Is it definitely happening? The pre-curring (if you know what I mean?) jokes are bloody good too. so many lovely laughy layers to the show.

I'm not sure it's DEFINITELY happening, they've been talking about it since the show ended. As far as I've read elsewhere, there's a script being worked on, and all the cast have agreed in principal to appearing. Who knows if it'll actually get made.
Is that what Ron Howard aludes to in the final scene? " I see more a movie"

It has more gags than any show I've ever encountered, yet the characters are just so incredible that the laughs comes from them. Like you say, it is just so brilliantly layered, you can watch an episode 3 times, and on the fourth viewing get something you didn't previously. How the hell they wrote it I'll never know, it's phenomenal, just thinking about it gives me a headache.
I haven't heard anything on the movie front for a while, last I heard they were working on a script and filming this year. I think Michael Cera is the big problem, if he agrees then it will get made.
More piss on the bonfire...

Shame but he has some good points. I'd settle for a one off TV special
I'm not too fussed, to be honest. I think the moment has passed, and if they wait too long they just risk a damp squib of a movie. And we have forty plus cracking episodes of the show to savour on DVD. I'm happy to let it Rest In Peace.

I quite agree. These things don't have a great track record anyway so let's just leave the Bluths to the small screen.

I quite agree with your quite agreeing.
Over halfway through the first season. Wonderful stuff!
I need to buy the rest afterwards.
I need to own this series. Borrowed it off a chum a while back and really enjoyed it.
Had issues with the 'it's supposed to be a documentary', but I'm over all that now.
Just bought series 2 & 3.
Had to be done.
Looking forward to drip feeding them to myself when there's nothing good on.
