What are you gaming? Page 87

I prefer the first person multiplayer shooters.
People are amusing.

COD2 multiplayer was really good, before Windows Vista screwed my PC up.
Probably the best was the bash servers, where you had no bullets and you had to bash someone to kill them.

I enjoyed World at War for a time but the players called '.' were incomplete twats.
You really had to put them out of your misery, regardless of whose team they were on.

Assassins creed brotherhood is fun to watch.

waiting for MW3 and Battlefield 3 now

MW3 looks shite.

BC3 looks like the most spectacular game ever conceived. They're just a league apart.

Still playing Dragon Age II. Waning slightly.

I am playing Fifa 10 for some reason. Must be some footie fans on here who have a view on that. Amazed at how hard West Ham are to to turn over compared to some teams.

Also why is it always a free kick for the opposition when they chop you the f**k down.

inFAMOUS 2 arrived today.

Hopefully the kids will be asleep by the time I get home so I can play a bit before the Apprentice comes on.

I got R.U.S.E recently and it is good game, trouble I'm so bloody awful at the game. It is quite off-putting when you can't complete the campaign on the easiest difficulty.

Crushed LA Noire (a good first go with the new tech but not as good as it might have been) and replaying Batman: Arkham Asylum on hard before the sequel comes out. Dreading the Poison Ivy fight (if I even get that far).

I found the end Joker fight more difficult than the Poison Ivy one.

I'm never keen on doing games on the hard setting. I think it just seems like pointlessly handicapping yourself - if they want the game to be difficult, then it should be difficult on the normal setting, surely?

It also annoys me when games suggest you switch to the easy setting. God of War does this if you die too often in one place and LA Noire alows you to skip an ''action sequence' if you're too rubbish. That just irritates me because it is patronising and perhaps I'm enjoying being challenged by a bit of the game.

It's not like some of the old school games where if you die you go all the way back to the beginning.

I think the only time I've changed a game to the easy setting was when I got stuck on a boss fight and didn't go back to the game for a few months, by which time I'd forgotten all the controls and so on. I set it to easy to beat the boss a bit less annoyingly then back to normal to get in the swing of it again.

Can't even remember what game that was now. Perhaps MGS4.

I welcomed the easy option in God of War. Those bloody Medusa things. :D

I must have done something right because I beat the Joker in one. Poison Ivy had me ready to hurl my controller through the screen.

I know what you mean about games making it too easy these days - it seems to be becoming something of a trend. Worse still are the unsolicited hints that pop up on some games telling you exactly what you need to be doing to beat the bad guys - their weak spots, what weapons you should be using etc. If I ever find myself completely stuck I know I only need to turn to the internet for help - at least let that be my choice.

That all said, I'd never go back to the Manic Miner days - no saves and unlimited frustration!

I still prefer doing it on the normal setting as that is what I assume the games designers were going for in their game.

But yes, the medusas were annoying but I like some challenge. After completing the first PSP GOW, which was my first go on that franchise, it lets you start again with all your power-ups.

That was fun for about 10 minutes but was boringly easy.

The times GOW suggested easy mode for me were generally when I was making (failed) kack handed attempts to complete a puzzle before the trap activated, in which case having more health and monsters with fewer hits makes no difference.

Recently played through Alex Kidd. Only way to do it was with the 'save state' option on the emulator.

Yeah, I don't like it when your ""hero" becomes too powerful. I always enjoyed for example in GTA using the worse car and smallest gun/knife.

Desert Eagle :D Then again I just liked pushing people down stairs and running them over, bikes are my favourite target. I do it on GTA 4 as well. :P

The poison Ivy fight is way harder than the final Joker fight. In fact the final boss fight in AA is way too easy considering some of what's gone before.

The Ivy fight is just hard/tedious rather than hard/exciting.
