What I'm really interested in is the Oculus Rift which is rumoured to be released by the end of this year at around $300. But, I don't have a high end gaming PC. I hear Valve are releasing their own gaming PC/console things but I bet that shit will be expensive.
Does this OC thing need a PC then? Not console compatible?
At the minute you need a PC/Mac/Linux to run the software (you can buy a development kit) but I think they're aiming for everything to be built into the headset, like mobile phone technology is getting to the point where they could become more powerful than the home consoles.
Plus I've read that the creator believes the consoles are "too limited" for what he wants. But I have no doubt someone will create a "mod" so you can plug it into your Playstation.
For an impressive demo, YouTube - Titans of Space. Okay, so you don't get to actually "demo" the experience but it gives you a good understanding of what the technology is capable of.
Also, when are we having a GTA session?

I may end up selling it soon but whilst I've got it, I wanted to get some fun from it and a GTA sesh' is just what I'm looking for.
I keep eyeing up games like Tomb Raider and The Last Of Us, I know once I get one of those, I'll be hooked for a week and once completed I'll forget about my Playstaton for a while.

I tend to use mine more as a video playback device now. I'm up for a game sometime, I haven't payed it in ages. Haven't even completed it yet.
