MICHAEL: Will you come and rub butter on my foot?
Quote: Griff @ January 21 2009, 10:48 AM GMTFawlty Towers - Communication Problems
The Office - Series Two, Episode Five (Comic Relief Day)
Steptoe And Son - The Desperate Hours
ditto these
I'm Alan Partridge - To Kill a Mocking Alan
Peep Show - Local Zero (the one where Mark befriends a racist)
Curb Your Enthusiasm - The Group
Extras - Kate Winslett
Coupling - Remember This
The Simpsons - Homer the Heretic
If I could only have two for a desert island, they'd be Fawlty and Homer.
Ooo -- The Simpsons. Not seen many of the recent ones but the stand-out for me is Cape Feare, where Sideshow Bob is out on parole and the Simpsons have to become 'The Thompsons' in Witness Protection. It's genius, even for The Simpsons
"That's German for The Bart, The!"
"Anybody who speaks German can't be a bad man!"
Dan
I go with the Extras (Les Dennis), also for the subplot rather than the celeb one.
The Office training episode.

Great stuff!
Still thinking about many of the series I love (Hancock, DA, IAAHM, Hi-De-Hi!, etc etc) the immediate stand out of Only Fools for me has to be The Jolly Boys Outing !
But I think my favourite line ever comes from Cheers . .
Sam - 'Do you ever picture me naked?'
Rebecca - 'Yes, on a slab with a label tied to your big toe!'
Cracks me up even typing it !
Oh Wow ! Happy 100th post to me !
The Office train day episode is superb. British comedy at it's very finest. Perfect performances and some amazing lines.
Back to Reality is pretty magic too. Really clever and very funny. Though for definitive I'd say 'White Hole'. Every character is on form, great story and very funny.

The Simpsons - Homer the Heretic. The one where Homer stops going to church.
