Drink, gamble, and legally buy and watch pornography in much of the United States.

A draconian place, the land of the free.

Quite.

21 used to be the age where you got a key to the family home. I think the only legal milestone is you are allowed to teach someone else to drive providing you have had a full licence for three years.

I have my 21st birthday key! It came with a bear!

Oh, and drive rental cars yourself. And often insurances and loans and shit like that too.

Yeah I can't wait for insurance to be cheaper I've spent literally hours trying to get mine car insurance down and bending the truth here and there and it's still costing me £685 third party for the year with 1 years no claims...

Confused.com - it's got a really "friendly" website ;)

it's pants they quoted me £720.

I find just calling one company up, get a quote say someone else can beat it then you just get transfered for about 2 hours between different companies then someone just gets you an awesome quote and you're done.

You need to be a lady, Paul. Then you can get the cheaper deals!

F**k me! What are you driving? A ferrari made of crystal?

There's a growing movement to lower the drinking age back to 18. I expect it to happen sooner rather than later.

FYI, the federal government has no power to set the drinking age. That belongs solely to the individual states, but Washington simply tied federal highway funding to a 21 age limit and the states grudgingly fell in line.

Speaking of beer, the American commander in Iraq is allowing 2 beers per troop during the Super Bowl next month. Consumption of alcohol had been strictly prohibited up until this point.

I wish - managed to get it down a bit further by changing my job title - they did it not me: "You're a computer consultant right?" "Yes, yes I am...."

£680 baby!
