A horrible image...
I can't help thinking Corden licks Horne in his sleep.
Quote: sootyj @ July 11 2009, 12:43 PM BSTWhat? You hoping they're going to make it Horne, Corden and Stott?
*The BCG forum shudders with horror at the very thought*
Quote: Matthew Stott @ July 11 2009, 12:41 PM BSTYou two are meanies.
In what way? They plaster their name over their self-penned comedy sketch show, they're fair game, same as anyone else. No-one's being genuinely personally offensive to them here.

In a being a meanie sort of a way. I identify very strongly with the fat one. Maybe. Plus I was only joking.
Ooh hoisted by your own petards! I think we should stop picking on primeministers, I identify with the ugly, Scots moron one.

You mean you didn't mean it? So this is how it feels when someone else is pretending?
It feels horrible I shall never pretend to be something I'm not again.
From The Mail On Sunday 2 section today ('The Zapper' by Miles Goslett)...
Bad news for James Corden and Matthew Horne, co-stars of Gavin & Stacey. Their BBC Three comedy sketch show has been axed after only one series. Thousands have already been spent on pre-production for the second series but, according to a programme source, this loot may as well have been set on fire. Critics were never wild about the Horne & Corden stock material, which included skits about fat people and gay war reporters. One rated it 'excruciating - as funny and as puerile as a sixth-form review'. That's why it was on BBC Three.
Not the comedy world's most earth-shattering news, but...
It's surprising that they spent any money on pre production without being sure of a recommision.
Might have been cancelled after commissioning, such as was the case with After You've Gone Series 4.
(In fact, checking our guide, I see that the BBC were in "advanced discussions" about a second series.)
It had at times a million viewers which is a helluva lot for a digital only channel.
I guess my problem was as much with the people he watched that crap as with those who appeared in it.
Quote: sootyj @ July 11 2009, 11:22 AM GMTBless who ever first posted that image I thought Gordon Brown was setting fire to himself out of guilt.
And that cheered me.
Yeah, whoever first, obviously not me.
eh? and why are you responding 7 months late?
Woot!
