They can act, but the writting was weak and poredictable.

And yet in English.

Laughing out loud

And yet in English.

You've never heard of the word "poredictable"? :O

I'm afraid it's not in my "vocubelary".

You need a new dinctinary.

Enjoyed this, not so keen on the studio stuff, but...

Better than expected!

when they started the relay race sketch you knew immediately what the joke was going to be and it was almost an uncomfortable lag waiting for it to happen.

I didn't.

I didn't.

Had you just been hit in the head? It was painfully obvious where that sketch was going.

I actually found that funny, even though I knew what was coming.

To me it was just one more sketch that relied on fatness as the punchline. Liposuck out those jokes, and there wasn't much left.

Only to the particular type of analytical mind of a writer.

Don't start that nonsense again. Even a non-writer can spot predictability when it's served up to them on a plate.

The writing certainly could have been stronger. That 'I'm coming' one for instance, it immediately springs to my mind that they could have done a Fast Show with that, have it keep popping up for a few seconds at a time; each time he's got longer hair/beard. He's taken so long that by the end he's f**king a skeleton. That sort of thing.

The writing SHOULD have been stronger. There's no excuse. The Beeb were playing these guys up as the new Morecambe and Wise, so they should have made sure they had a decent team of writers backing them up. As a result, it just makes the whole corporation look amateur and ever so slightly clueless.
