Love the Prisoner. Apart from the last four episodes, which are umitigated wank. (Although the last couple appear to be the ones on which its reputation is based, what with them being all psychedelic and that.)
A unique talent. RIP.

I liked Fallout even if it made no sense at all.

Ah well, there we are you see, I do like a bit of a sense in my drama. Doesn't have to make complete sense, but just a bit!
Aw, sad. Didn't know he was so old. He looked like my dad too...
Sad. It's worth noting how much of an influence he had on Columbo. Peter Falk certainly thinks it wouldn't have been the show it was without his involvement (as well as starring in quite a few, he also directed a lot).
Was watching him in Escape from Alcatraz last Saturday night. RIP

I love the last episode.

He'd have killed Osama by staring at a photo of him.
DEM BONES, DEM BONES!
Be seeing you Patrick.
I do like the last episode BUT the first time I saw it I felt cheated as the explanation was ambiguous (to me and my dense brain, at least). I had to wait until I got interneted up to Google sites that explained the episode. Apparently he had to hide away for some weeks after the final broadcast as people were so angry and he refused to explain the meaning.
He didn't do Bond or Saint (both offered) because he refused to do on-screen kisses as it went against his rather strong faith / convictions. I think Dangerman and the Prisoner omitted kisses. Although he did do kisses in his early days, I think.
He littered The Prisoner with some interesting iconography. The flashing light at the top of a pyramid in No 2's room stands out as one I spotted. In that respect, he more than hinted at who he thought was running his 'village.'
The best moment about the last show was arriving back at his home, and the door opening in exactly the same way as the doors in the village. McGoohan's prisoner never escaped because the village had infiltrated the rest of the world.
So bleak, so brilliant. But an uplifting message underlay it, because the individual remained unbroken to the end.
I've only just seen this. Sad news indeed. RIP
Dangerman for me all the way. I loved that series. Also fantastic theme music.
I dare you not to do some hand jiving to this!
