I've got some great news! I helped my university win a comedy gig!
An internet competition called "It's Not Funny" went around all the universities in Britain. It was a simple competition. You just had to upload your funny clips onto the website and people voted for whether they loved them or like them. Ironically, it is not the clips with the most love or hate votes, but simply the clips that have the most votes.
With more clips and around 70,000 more votes than the nearest rival, my uni, the University of Teesside won the gig. On May 1st, the uni will receive a visit from Bill Bailey, Marcus Brigstocke, Andrew Maxwell and Simon Amstell.
Out of the five clips that I and my friends at the Uni's Comedy Society filmed (I'm the Chairman of the society for those of you not aware), only two were able to posted. Another two were too long, and one was considered unsutiable to broadcast. However, you can see all of our clips on our YouTube. The clips that did get posted where my "Handy Hint" clip and my friend Andy's "My bagpipes" clip.
