Comedy.co.uk Awards 2008

They're here. Those of you that were around last year will know what this is all about. For those of you that have joined us more recently, our annual awards aim to find the best and worst comedies of the year just gone. There's no panel of judges - it's completely down to fan votes.

Click the link below to vote for your favourites of 2008: https://www.comedy.co.uk/awards/2008/

Please email this link to your friends and post it around the internet wherever you can, because the more people that vote, the more the awards mean. Cheers.

Feel free to post comments about the best and worst of 2008 below, or any questions you have. You're also more than welcome to share with others what you voted for...

Mark - where's Moving Wallpaper in the list of new sitcoms??!!

That show was one of the biggest classification headaches of the year. Comedy Drama .v. Sitcom. Anyway, to save any confusion I've now added it to the sitcom category too so people can vote for it. Thanks. (If you've already voted Griff and want to change your vote to that PM me)

Is that you and Mark in your avatar Griff? :P

Yes, we do love them so.

I actually found that quite easy, with the exception of picking Peep Show, Harry Hill and Ponderland over each other. Yes, I said Ponderland, what can I say, it made me LOL.

Only if he doesn't get Listen Against in the list pronto!

Oops! Added now.

I spent hours checking everything was there - I can't believe I missed that one. Bit embarrasing really as it was a recent show! Anything else missing do let me know.

Easy to pick? Really? I thinking picking the worst new sitcom of the year has to be a hard one - there's plenty of contenders (I see you struggled to find any you liked in that category, bar The Inbetweeners... that's going to easily win that category isn't it). Picking the best returning sitcom and best panel show is tough too IMHO.

Here are my votes:

Worst: Lab Rats

TV Sitcom (Returning)

I went into it knowing I'd pick The Inbetweeners over anything else and it was better then Peep Show this year, just. The IT Crowd hasn't impressed me as much and I remember laughing the most at Ponderland. Shooting Stars got the vote because I'm in love with Vic and Bob. The rest was just the best of the worst.

I haven't seen most of the shows listed, so that made it a lot easier. Plus, I didn't pick any radio.

Anything else missing do let me know.

How about Radio 5 Live's "Fighting Talk" for the best radio panel show?

Good point Badge. I keep forgetting about that as its on Five Live, a place not exactly otherwise known for comedy output (unless you count hearing England's international match scorelines). Anyway, the show's now on the list. Cheers.

Would it be an idea to release the list before the voting? :P

Cheers. You're obviously not keeping up to date with the Capello era though are you?

Found myself spoilt for choice in the Worst TV sketch show category, but went for Pappy's Fun Club, kind of what the Grumbleweeds would have been if they couldn't play musical instruments.

Clone walked Worst new TV sitcom.

Mine are below. I've left out a lot of the 'worst' as I didn't think it fair to vote for it unless I'd seen it.
