"Move it..."

Road workers tarmac AROUND parked car after driver leaves Fiat Panda in space for week

Hoping to park in Railway Cuttings tonight if it's not too busy.

Watch out the train driver doesn't chuck a lump of anthracite at yer car.

I object to my post of 24 April being greyed out. Has the person with the grey crayon never listened to the Hancock's Half Hour wireless episode of Hancock's Car. Synopsis: Hancock's pride and joy, his car, has been parked outside his house for ten years without moving because he can't drive. The road has been resurfaced eight times since the war except for the patch underneath Hancock's car, which is eight inches lower than the rest of the road... It's time for another resurfacing and along comes Kenneth Williams as a policeman with his order to Move it... in his inimitable voice.

It was on Radio 4 Extra only last week and then I saw that photo in a local paper. I was rather proud of that. And this is all the thanks I get? ☹

You even managed to get a picture of The Major greyed out...on the Fawlty Towers thread, FFS!
We need Elon Musk to buy out the BCG and put an end to this censorship.

I suspect it's one of those pesky bots. They seem to be taking over.

Rectified. You'll forgive us for not remembering every gag in every sitcom episode ever!

Thank you.

Love the masthead photo, and how I wish I could sit at that table and just be mesmerised by their conversation, and yet, sometimes it makes me sad that they are not longer with us.

And I did so. We won 3-0.

You're just jealous that I've got an OBE - Order of the British Empire

Bill, you were ordered OUT of the British Empire

Interesting departure from the norm for Radio 4 Extra's Hancock's Half Hour spot today (available on iPlayer for 29 days).

A 10 minute sketch performed at the BBC's Gala Night to open the 1958 British Empire & Commonwealth Games. Introduced by Kenneth Horne and re-discovered from Bob Monkhouse's archive collection.

The remainder of the usual half-hour spot is padded out with a talk with Rory Bremner (for some reason), during which I made my excuses and went to the kitchen to butter my toast and extract the plastic soldiers from my packs of Weetybangs, and then a 15 minute resumé of Tony Hancock's life.

Thanks

I'll check it out on Sounds later
