:D :D :D :D

Sadly no, but I'm waiting for it. She's the kind of friend who tries to become interested in the same stuff as you and then drives you insane. She doesn't quite understand British humour, so I am constantly getting asked what stuff means. I'm also waiting for the mention of British Men Behaving Badly. That should be an interesting conversation. Oh, and she loved the American version of Coupling!?! Rolling eyes What does that tell you?

Tells me she's an oddball!

What he said.

Yeah, that's putting it mildly. Father Ted offended her. She's a lot like Alice on Vicar of Dibley combined with the girl that was on Moving Wallpaper and the new Reggie Perrin...Lucy Something? It's very disturbing going anywhere with her, because guys try to chat her up because she's hot and then she opens her mouth and says the stupidest thing you've ever heard. But she means well, God bless her.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Pleased

Don't they try to chat you up? :)

Haha, that's ace. :D

Yeah, after they feel their brains start to bleed from talking to her. I shouldn't be so mean, but damn its frustrating.

Forget being rude. Just voice your opinions. From what you've said I would've got a tad fed up. Pleased

I do voice my opinions, but at times she's too thick to know she's being slammed or offended.

How old is she then? Usually, it's the young-ish who are just slow (like me) or the older people (over 50) who are just thick. However, your friend may be the exception.

Do you slam/offend her in front of her, in public then?

She's the same age as me. We were friends in college. And no, I would never do that in front of anyone else. I don't really slam her. I can just run circles around her in an argument and she just gets that deer in the headlights look. We met in a film class about silent film and she proved to be endlessly amusing. But she has a good heart as I said and I have to admit that it's nice having a friend who enjoys British TV, even if she doesn't understand it.

I had a friend like that once. She asked me what the D.I.S.C.O. in the song stood for.

Ha! She's the kind of person that will take anyone's recommendation for something to watch or listen to and then likes it instantly. Everything, she loves everything. Except Father Ted, she said that was offensive. She loves every show that gets put on the air and then buys it. Especially the crap. Her DVD collection has grown by some 100 titles this year (my brilliant segue back to topic) and she forces her favourites on me. So, in my possession at the moment I have the Day the Earth Stood Still remake and Pink Panther 2. Blech!
