1th? Is this a new special day somewhere in the middle?

1th!
I think we should bring that into use! It's ace.
Quote: Bad dog @ December 26 2008, 10:33 AM GMTI think it may be a holiday thing - didn't Frankie Howerd and Benny Hill die at Easter?
Yes, Easter weekend 1992. Frankie went on the 18th. The 19th is credited as Benny's date of death, but as he lived alone and wasn't discovered until the 21st, we cannot be certain.
And Monday will mark the fifth anniversary of the late great Bob Monkhouse's death as well.

Was just thinking that myself!
And as far as Christmas deaths are concerned, I think we can largely put it down to the stress of the season, the inevitable bugs floating around, and the weather.
And the drama of it all, darling!
Haha!

Hitler was born on my Dad's birthday and died on mine.

Yes, the oneth. Not to mention the twoth and threeth.
I think we should make a distinction at this point between dying, and committing suicide! >_<
It only looks like important people die at Christmas because they're second on the news running order. I mean, Eartha Kitt? 'Kin 'eck.
This is because NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS on Christmas Day. If Mother Theresa had died at Christmas, she'd have been top of the news. As she died about six minutes after Princess Diana, she barely rated an "And Finally..."
Sinatra died at the same didn't he?

Why you're just as dead?
My daughter was born at the exact moment that D. Boon of The Minutemen died in an automobile accident on December 22nd, 1985. Several years later, Joe Strummer of The Clash died on her birthday.

Sinatra died friday 14th May 1998.
His birthday was in December though.
Hmm. Who was the other person around the same time as Diana and Theresa then? *strokes chin*
Still Eartha Kitt will be memorialised in cockney rhyming slang for ever.
