It was said on the commentary on one of the Peep Show DVDs that Russell Brand originally auditioned for the part of Super Hans - but Matt King got the part ahead of him. I really cant imagine anyone else being Super Hans.

That would have been weird.
Back then he'd have been an off the rails druggie still, so it would have been a nightmare.
Anyway, like I said, they struck gold with Matt King.
It wouldn't have been weird. No one knew who he was then. If he had got the part he never would have been the presenter of Big Mouth so never would have become a household name and we would all just know him as Super Hans off Peep Show.
I already knew him from MTV Dance - but yeah, wouldn't be a household name like he is now.

Russel Brand .... whenever I think of him , I try and imagine him instead of James Caan tied to the bed in Misery while Kathy Bates smashes his ankles with a sledgehammer , but it's not a movie.....

Does anyone else remember that show Russell Brand had on the Paramount Comedy channel years ago, where he would "tackle" issues? I remember in one he "addressed" the issue of homelessness by taking a tramp home to share a bath. On another he dealt with any confusion about his sexuality by wanking-off a guy in a pub toilet, before hiring a couple of prostitutes to help him re-assert his heterosexuality.
Think he was probably still on the drugs at this stage...

That was kinda good and it was on UK Play.
It was called Re:Brand. It was f**king fantastic.
