Did you write the screenplay for Braveheart?
What stuff do you write other than comedy? Page 2
LOL
I loved the opening line that says History will tell you these things didn't happen but then history is written by the conquerors or somseuch - as a license to make up any old tosh and present it as historical fact.
Come to think of it I might nick that very line.
When you see the words 'Based on a true story' it's weasel words for near 100% fiction but everyone goes around saying ... "And it's true."
I'm writing a Bond film.
I written a horror and sci-fi.
Seem to be quite a few songwriters on here, myself included. I have also written songs for local panto.
Apart from that, I dabble in most of the stuff mentioned already, plus a bit of poetry and the occasional article for specialist magazines.
I'm currently writing a drama series. Set in a certain historical context, so been doing lots of research. Really enjoying it too.
I write poetry, I've always had a love for poems and have been writing them for as long as I can remember.
I don't write anything else, although I'd like too. I started out writing film scripts but haven't bothered with them in years. I keep thinking about possible horror films in my head, that being my favourite genre behind comedy.
I'd also like to write rap, not to be a rapper or do anything in that lifestyle, but just to write clever, funny rap songs or even songs in general. But it's too hard to break away from comedy or just trying to make a joke.

The worst thing about writing comedy is that your brain is always working, trying to make a joke out of every situation, sometimes you can seem like a right bastard when you are smiling at a funeral because you have thought of a joke.

I like to write meaty psychological crime dramas, at the moment I am working on a revenge movie. I am also working on a Scottish historical epic (another Braveheart?).
I get a lot of inspiration from Jimmy McGovern and Paul Laverty.
No.
I'd love to write a detective drama or a novella. But I find it unlikely I'll ever do that.
Lazy!
I used to try and write horror films, then realised I was rubbish. Now I write comedy, I've probably got a good few months left in me before I make the same realisation.
No shit Sherlock. Hmm not the best feed line their Seefacts but it'll do.
