Every little helps.

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

I caught a Great Blue Heron once. With a fishing pole. I managed to release him, but it was quite an ordeal.

I got told a morbid story about herons today. :(

Apparently, if you scare them in winter so that they have to fly off, that might use up enough energy to mean that they don't have enough to survive the winter. They have to stay still for most of the winter days so that they have enough energy to stay alive. :(

*DESPERATLY TRYING TO WORK A 'HARD OFF HERON' JOKE IN BUT FAILING MISERABLY*

Laughing out loud! C'mon! You can do it, Danny!

Running out of teabags and biccies.

Hmmm, sounds rather dubious. But my experience with herons was in Florida, so winters weren't exactly deadly.

We also got taught my the same teacher about why when you've been stabbed or shot, you just feel like you've been punched, apparently.

Maybe we should set up a charity for them. We could call it "Heron Aid".

(Will that do, Danny?)

Close enough... for now... I fully expect to think of the ideal line at 3 in the morning 3 weeks for now... and I WILL post it...

Well I don't fancy testing that theory.

But you *will* scare a poor heron, won't you? :(
