Quote: Seefacts @ December 7 2008, 12:24 AM GMTI could never do a Linehan style 'Man who looks like a magician' plot because it's so out there and detached from everything.
That's probably close to the kind of thing I would write.

The nuttier the person the better, I think (within reason). As Seefacts says, though, I take comedy writing incredibly seriously. T x

Not worth the wait? Come on now, that's not the right kind of attitude at all!
Quote: Griff @ December 7 2008, 12:38 AM GMTTim, did those people send you their scripts uninvited, or politely ask you first if you would take a look?
It's all right, Griff, all the more for you.
What on earth makes you think Bandage even slightly resembles the Mekon?
He's far more attractive.

I always know where I am with Fritzell-Grinch.
This was a top notch watch. I found Tony Jordan really annoying though.
Re: the plot discussion, I never start a draft until the characters are fully explored and the plot and sub-plot have been worked out. I use that to produce a scene list and then start writing.
I know a lot of people are keen to jump in early but I can't work that way. My attitude to writing is very much like my world-view, which is all about analysis and comprehension before committing an action, not acting on-the-fly.
I'm not popular in the queue at Greggs.

watched programme and enjoyed it, left me feeling like i'm not in this alone and confident there is a light at the end of a very big tunnel.
