Train Station Sitcom

Ladies and Gentlemen, I need your help. I'm currently looking for the name of an old British sitcom which was based on a train station. I believe that one of the characters in it was called 'Mr. Parker' (I could be wrong). My father is convinced that I'll never find it and he underestimates the power in numbers, especially over the internet (he's a New-Age caveman...) So I'd like anyone who even vaguely has an idea of the series I'm refering to, to please give me the name, or at least a linkl to where I can find a result.

Thank you all very much!

Could it be Oh Doctor Beeching?

THANK YOU!!! It's Oh, Doctor Beeching indeed!!! Thank you all very much!!!

Maybe you should collect all those unnecessary comas and make something useful out of them.

Have even you got the time?

To be honest, no. No I don't.

I could enslave a class of Chinese schoolchildren though.

My imediate reaction was "Lame Ducks" which was based in a an old railway station, but having been only peripherly aware of mr Beeching that sounds more like what you're looking for.

It's Oh Doctor Beeching that one.
