Thanks for the birthday messages. Had a great day yesterday. Me and my mate went to the European Christmas Market in Manchester City Centre and had some lovely German Beer. It made me want to go to Oktoberfest one year even more. A great day and a Rooney hat trick and Giggs's 100th Premier League goal to match.

My son has been to Oktoberfest for the last few years - he would certainly recommend it.
It would cost too much money though. Hotel prices and campsites seem to treble in prices. I'd have to just camp out somewhere if I went. Going to Berlin in February though.

Ah yes. He has the advantage of free board and lodgings which does make a difference. He has also been able to borrow a costume in previous years but this year he made his own.
