Was the Black Box singer a tranny?

I think the 'singer' we saw (a very Amazonian model) was not the actual singer. All very Milli Vanilli/Boney M.

I hated it/them!!! Angry

The vocals were sampled, from a '70s song. The Blackbox "singer" was probably just a model they'd rented.

It was the vocal of Loleatta Holloway, sampled from "Love Sensation", although some believed it to be Martha Wash (one of the Weathergirls). The matter even went to court.

The model who mimed in the vid is Catherine Quinol, born in Guadeloupe and raised in Paris.

By the way, the track is titled "Ride on Time".

French? Yes to the tranny query then. :)

:D Non! Paris, France. I think she once stayed at the Paris Hilton.

Adamski - Killer
Snap - The Power
Moby - Go

Those first two are great to dance to! I remember being in a disco in Essen with a French girl around 1992. Or have I told you more than you want to know?

You can't serious;y say they wrote the greatest song ever. How old are you? Twelve?

Twelve and a half actually.

I don't know if anyone already posted this but I thought of this one while staring at an old painted tile in the high school art room I teach in. It was a painting of the cover of the first Limp Biscuit album. This one:

This was probably the first time I realized the majority had really really bad taste in music.
That and when Kid Rock came out with his first big CD.
Thank BAJEBUS rap rock is dead and gone. Sick

*shudder*

I bought the first 3 Limp Bizkit albums and 2 Kid Rock albums along with some Papa Roach, POD and Linkin Park. I now wonder what the hell I was thinking. I think I went through a nu metal stage.

I still love the cover of that Limp Bizkit album though.

Oh God. Where do I start? I don't know what everyone else loves - I don't watch eMpTyV, don't listen to radio and don't socialize with fans of:
blues;
country;
reggae;
rap;
punk and hardcore;
boys bands and pop in general (OK, Kate Bush is NOT pop);
shoe-gazer movement and similar bands from Britain - you seem to know many of them;
any combination of the above.

And I think that the Rolling Stones are #1 overrated band on planet
seriously - Paint it Black is a great song, and they did few more nice songs during their 45 (!) years of existence. A perfect example of image over song quality.
Van Halen is close second.

Correct for about the last thirty years, wrong for the first 15.
