May To December

Hi.
What did people think of May To December & which actresss did they prefer Eve Matheson or Lesley Dunlop?
Might someone have S3+? Thanks.

Faaaaaar preferred Eve Matheson. The show itself was ok, although I could never properly warm to it. Not bad on the whole, but I'm not sure I'd buy DVDs.

I liked it. And I think Anton Rogers was a genuinely talented and likeable actor. I think I preferred the first actress to play the role, simply because theyc were first and people who step into other peoples roles never feels right.

I remember liking it.

I can't remember details like different actors though.

I liked the theme tune too.

I remember liking it at the time. Not something I'm bothered about seeing again though.

I preferred him in Fresh Fields. I used to like that show. :$

I loved this show! I thought they might show one or two when Anton Rogers died recently but no. I think I preferred Lesley Dunlop as Zoe.

I seem to remember fancying the son, too. Errr But that may just have been because I was young and he was the only remotely decent guy in it!

Was Ashley Jensen in it, in the later series, as the replacement receptionist?

Yes she was. :)

Lesley Dunlop is now in Emmerdale playing Brenda.

Eve Matheson was a hottie.

I agree that the first one is usually best. Was that Lesley Dunlop? I felt the same about Goodnight Sweetheart.

No. Dunlop was the pretender to the throne.

Why did they change Zoe's? I liked the first one.

I watched the first four(?) series recently. I only saw bits and pieces when it was first on TV. Yes, I like the show. There are some good laughs in it and age-gap relationships is a worthwhile subject for a sitcom. So far I found Series 3 to be the best. Initially I found it a little akward having a change of Zoe - as is always the case in shows. But I liked both of them equally I think. Eve Matheson created a more complex Zoe with a Geeky side to her, whereas Lesley Dunlop played a more straight-forward and direct Zoe.

Matheson left the show because she had an offer from a National Shakespeare company to tour the world or something.
