Sketch

INT. DAY. ROOM.

SHERLOCK HOLMES IS GAZING THOUGHTFULLY OUT THE WINDOW WHEN WATSON WALKS IN.

WATSON: (dramatically)
Holmes!

HOLMES:
Yes Watson.

WATSON:
Why am I such a buffoon?

HOLMES: (pondering)
Hmmm… The mystery of why one of the greatest fictional detectives in history's sidekick is such a buffoon. (PAUSE) Quick!

WATSON: (excitedly)
What is it Holmes?

HOLMES:
Fetch me a magnifying glass Watson.

HOLMES PASSES A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO HOLMES WHO IS LOOKING AT SOMETHING IN A NEWSPAPER.

HOLMES: (thinking out loud)
Buffoon, buffoon, buffoon. Why is Watson such a buffoon? (PAUSE) Ah!

WATSON: (astounded)
Incredible!

HOLMES:
Hold your horses Watson.

CLOSE UP OF HOLMES MOVING HIS MAGNIFYING GLASS OVER THE WORD ‘ASK'.

HOLMES:
This is a big ask.
