British Comedy Guide

Vats all.

GORDON BROWN IS GIVING A SPEECH.

GORDON

People of Britain the economies screwed, National insurance is going up, house prices are dropping faster than Gordon Ramsey's pants. And the pound is worth less than a nudie picture of me pleasuring Alistair Darling.

But we are lowering Value Added Tax slightly.

ALISTAIR DARLING WALKS ON NIBBLING A CARROT.

ALISTAIR

And VATs all folks!

That's better. Packed full of clever topical gags. Really good. Can very much imagine that working at NR (which I was lucky enough to see for the first time at the weekend :))

Enjoy it? I saw it on Friday pretty good show, did you have anything in there?

Just the same one I've ever had - the 3's a Crowd one with Boris Johnson.
Was very enjoyable and really saw how sketches and songs I've read on here are brought to life with the actors, and how their timing adds to the jokes.

Aah the audience liked 3s a crowd on the night I saw it.

I thought the Andrew Sachs quickie was the best of the night.

Have you written better?

I should darned well hope so.

Confused if you enjoyed my foolishness or not?

Actually Sooty i always enjoy your foolishness. :)

I thought the Andrew Sachs quickie was the best of the night.

Yeah, that was comedy gold, perfect with a visual and punchline.

Songs were great too, the McCain "did a wee" line worked v well with the shawl visual, Orville's put downs, Cliff, Mandelson Superstar et al. Laughs all round.

Was mighty relieved when it got laughs but they didn't use the final line I sent (about GBH) and just ended on the "3rd scandal" line, so was a little caught out.

Your sketch above is one of my faves btw, really nailed it I think

The Cliff song was really nice.

And I'm glad someone else got Obama fresh prince right.
