Another sketch with a hook!

INT. DOCTOR'S SURGERY

DOCTOR is sat at his desk and he presses a button on the intercom.

DOCTOR
Send the next patient in, please Miss Fielding.

The doctor's office door opens and CAPTAIN HOOK appears, his face screwed up. He's walking bow legged with his trousers round his ankles. He has blood on the end of his hook and toilet paper trailing from his boot. He seems to be in great agony.

DOCTOR
Ah, Mr. Hook...how can I help you today?

CAPTAIN HOOK (suddenly fine)
I've got this terrible cough that I just can't get rid of.

Unsure, kinda feel as tho I must be missing something.

Maybe it was only a joke I heard...Captain Hook wiping his arse with the wrong hand.

Good (though isn't it an old joke?) but why "(suddenly better)"?

Probably just me but isn't this just an old joke scripted? and if so, I kinda see little point.
