1) Geeks are more likely to interact fine with other geeks than with non-geeks.

Better. :)

My personal definition.

1. Geek doesn't interact well socially.
2. Geek has too much knowledge of a field - because they spend their time learning instead of socialising.
3. Geek does not care about fashion or looking good.

I define myself as a geek and so do others who know me but...

1. I do go out and have friends. I just find it really hard sometimes to get "started" as it were.

2. I have a brain the size of a peanut.

3. I don't follow fashions but I like to express myself creatively through what I wear.

Explain that Einstein! Geek

Eccentricity!

You're no geek. You're a glamourous snowdrop!

See! You fell into my trap!

Eccentricity!

Arrrrrrgh! >_< I HATE that word! It's so grossly overused in this day and age, it's lost all meaning. I hate people who claim they are eccentric themselves. No you are not. You just made up some quirk because you have no personality of your own!!!! ARRRRRRRRGH!

It's used by people to describe anything slightly odd! Oh that man is wear a neck tie. Oh how eccentric and whimsy! GWAFF GWAFF!

Get my gun....

Laughing out loud

I think I'd modify those slightly because:

1) Geeks interact fine with other geeks.
2) It's knowledge of a field the majority finds unappealing - knowing a lot about Star Trek and dressing as Captain Kirk is geeky; knowing a lot about football and dressing as David Beckham isn't.
3) Yeah, you're probably right on that one.

Agreed!

Could all the regular posters on here be just a tiny bit geeky? Seeing as they...ok WE :(...do perhaps the majority, if not all of our socialising electronically/virtually?

I think I may be the king of the geeks.
