Thinking of getting tickets, but wondering if anyone had seen any of his shows yet?
Anyone seen Rob Brydon Live yet?
Moving thread to the correct forum.
He must be good, the responses are flooding in. I think I'll book tickets anyway.
Go see him Mike! I've not seen him live, but I watched his Live At The Apollo gig a couple of years ago (he was in character as Keith Barret)... it was hilarious!
If you do go, don't forget to report back!
I'm gonna book my tickets when I get home. I usually go with my Dad to stand up gigs, it's something we enjoy together......aahh
I hope he is good - I already have tickets for next year!
I saw him live as Keith Barrat. I met him too. But instead of saying, "Hiya Rob, loved the show," - which was what Dad ending up saying, I asked him to sign my program ... and then my chest. I unbuttoned my shirt and with a quivering hand, he turned to the assembly line and said, "You heard him - he did ask!" and - hey presto - he signed my chest! "It's all right," I said, "you don't have to sign anywhere else on my body".
I just bought my tickets.
I have tickets for next year. He's been in two of my top favourite comedies ever (Human Remains and Marion & Geoff) so thought I should really see him doing stand-up. He seems very good at working the audience and ad-libbing of what I've seen of him so far.
Marion & Geoff is fantastic, a few patchy moments in series 2 but on the whole, just great!
I have seen the Keith Barrett Live DVD which was really good. The Live at the Apollo show was basically a shortened version of the same routine.
I also saw a programme on the BBC a couple of months ago where Rob Brydon went to Wales to do a series of gigs as himself rather than Keith. It was really interesting to watch and the clips of the gigs that it showed were really funny, well apart from the early ones when he was just testing his material. He did a lot of material about being Welsh and the Welsh language. That's it, it was called 'Rob Brydon's Identity Crisis'.
