Captain Pedantic 2

EXT. WAR ZONE – DAY

A PLATOON OF SOLDIERS ARE UNDER HEAVY FIRE.

PRIVATE:
We're trapped, Sergeant, what do we do?

LIEUTENANT:
(YELLING INTO HEADSET) Alpha team, I need to lay down a burst of depressing fire!

THERE'S A FLARE OF VICTORY MUSIC AS COSTUMED SUPERHERO, CAPTAIN PEDANTIC, MAKES HIS ENTRANCE.

LIEUTENANT:
Captain pedantic!

CAPTAIN PEDANTIC:
Correct me if I'm wrong, soldier, but don't you mean "suppressing fire"?

LIEUTENANT:
You're right, I do!

CAPTAIN PEDANTIC:
Happy to be of service!

HE GIVES A THUMBS UP AND FLIES AWAY. THE LIEUTENANT AND PRIVATE LAUGH A WHILE. THEN THE PRIVATE CATCHES A BULLET IN THE HEAD.

LIEUTENANT:
Medic!

Better than the first one, making it in a dangerous situation clearly adds too it as well.

Yep, even better than the first one that David!

That is funnier than the first one. I just wonder, is "depressing"/"suppressing" a likely mix-up?

Maybe 'repressing' instead?

I like these but you'll need something more than just a simple word mix-up to keep them going without getting boring.

I like them too. Would like to see Captain Pedantic, in the final episode, out pedanted, (maybe by Griff?).
