Puppets?
Cantina Band - Life After Star Wars Page 2
That made me laugh out loud, and not much of critique does; great stuff!

Cheaper and easier just to animate there are loads of animators about and its an awesome idea bet you could wrangle one easyyy, and its essentially 3 scenes so easy to animate.

Do you know a good one Gav

I love sci-fi but for some reason I have never seen *any* of the Star Wars canon so I don't understand this joke.
For years I have always been proud in a reverse snobby sort of way but now this major gap in my popular cultural knowledge has let me down.
Not great as a review for your sketch so sorry Sammy but it looks to be well received by "those in the know" and I sooooooo want to get the joke.
I have seen Star Wars several times, the last time was at the cinema about 10 years ago. But for the life of me I can never remember much about it and couldn't tell you what happens, when. It's like the closing credits have some sort of memory cleansing effect on my mind. Though I do remember watching it and seeing loads of Christian parallels (the fallen angel, holy trinity, etc). Weird.
Anyway, back to Sammy's sketch. Very nice idea!

ahem. Yes. It would look awesome if done in real life.
Very funny btw Sammy.
I am SO tempted!
I like it too. I reckon if you were going to do it live-action, how about making them a 'Cantina Tribute Band'? That way, there is another layer to it and you have an excuse to make ridiculous or not-quite-right costumes/make-up for more laughs.
Dan
This is great. Doing it live action would be best but it would have to be shot authentically, which would cost a fortune. Better you find an animator and get them to help you produce it yourself - it will make great show reel.
It's a good one. Excellent work, well done.
Bo.

Nah. Make it that the act are in fact the actors who appeared in the film. Much like the Green Cross Giant guy in the Darth Vader costume who goes round all the conventions selling the autographs. That way one of them could take his cheaper prothetic helmet off and then have to put it on again when they comply and play the tune again.
Remember David problems aren't problems they are stepping stones to creative opportunity.
And nice one Sammy!

For me it loses something when they're not the actual cantina band. If the guys are wearing alien outfits why would they be surprised when the crowd don't want to listen to them playing indy rock?
I agree about problems being stepping stones, which is where animation comes in.
Animation is cool. Are there animated sketch shows?

There was that BBC Three One. Hmm. What was it called? Was it Monkey Dust?
And Robot Chicken.
