I'm confused.

I see from Jack's most recent email that 118 are going to be discussing ways to make the jokes funnier.
Could be to do with the recent jokes tallies. Groaners seem to be taking over a bit.

I thought since Decemberish there's a definite improvement in quality. That said there's only so much you can do with short clean jokes.

Jeremy Orbell

Fraid not.

Haven't sent many recently, and assume I'd have heard if had got any, but any reserves?

Yes, there's a definite movement away from rhyming pun type jokes, towards more interesting constructions. These are more of a challenge to write I find.

I write most of the rhymers (sulks in corner of internter).

Well I was writing a lot, and Graham told me I was doing too many ... so have tried to change, though it's a strain!

Pretty much all of mine are puns and rhymes, that's how my brain works, and also comes from trying to write parody songs.

Well, considering when I sent 40, I got none used and last lot was 12 or so about 2 weeks ago.

I think they sometimes reuse older ones.

Oh assumed they just got chucked into a great big landfill site of gags if they weren't used. Sorted by the squirrels in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I don't understand why I'm being encouraged to keep sending jokes in but not receiving the updates?

I think one of the guys is using an older mailing list.

I noticed that too. It's pretty easy to farm out punny jokes which seemed to be the staple diet. The recent lot were an improvement but I'm not sure how many people would go back for a second joke helping? I think the future of their service is to somehow caveat against risque jokes and appeal to drunken texters. Much like the '63336' service works.

I wouldn't go spending your money Rob, sorry. I think Sooty's totted up gags by the "other" Robin. I don't think you got any in.
