Does anyone have any advice on finding an animator to collaberate with as I have shed loads of sketches that are too expensive, far fetched and plain crazy for tv.
Would be cool to work in partnership to get funny animated sketches on the net.
Any idea's?
London animation students occasionally show their bits, so to speak, at various showings in, er, London. Could be worth going along to one of those? Your main trouble, i expect, will be that most 'amateur' animators are usually only interested in working on their own projects.
Why not learn yourself? We took the plunge about 4 months ago and are now producing reasonable looking flash animations - check out Peter Flan on my website (OK - shameless plug!). give me a PM if you want to know more - I'm no walt disney but might be able to suggest a few pointers - anything for a top secret fan!

No it was good I liked it. How long did it take you to make?
Thanks Lee. The animation itself, once everything is in place, doesn't take too long. Around 3 hours. The laborious part is the set up - getting the script ready, the characters drawn, the audio etc . I think this one, from inception to completion, took about a month (but that's not working on it full time). My friend does the flash which is handy!
I was meant to be learning flash and other apps for a job, but that job never happened . I keep meaning though to teach it myself, but can never be arsed.

about 4 months of toil....for my friend! i can do the basics but prefer stop motion animation to flash.
so i'm feeling that the best course of action is to enrole one of my mates in some 1 year animation programme.
They will thank me for it in the long run eh?
well if Chocolate Mousse isn't up for it, i'm sure Scarecrow could be persuaded...I'll miss him most of all though.
