Out of interest, has anyone who isn't indigenous white British ever won an award?

I think the chances of Ross & Brand winning their respective awards is virtually 0.

Yes - the Kumars have won. But well done on the suggestion of institutional racism, that's always helpful.

So since it's inception Meet the Kumars is the only one?

I love Meet the Kumars. Good laugh.......great fun.

Who do you feel should have won it, but has been overlooked because they are not "white indigenous British"?

This isn't about racism. To me this list looks very bland. I really like Stephen K. Amos and was sad not to see him nominated and that prompted the question.

EDIT: Also I love watching Gina Yashere perform so disappointed not to see her nominated for anything either!

He isn't nominated because he isn't very good

I really like Dara O'Briain and Lee Mack doing stand up. I think that this might be a thinly disguised attempt to cover up the fact that I can't stand Michael McIntyre

What are the chances of Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross being at the awards?

I hope they both go. Of the two I think Russell Brand might?

That's what I thought. Ross will probably stay away because he gave up the presenting duties and stands to be the butt of every joke made on the night.

Looking at the choice of nominations, who the hell knows what the choice of winners will be!

To be fair there is only one comedy awards I'm interested in following and that's the BSG one - we're not that far away from it are we?

It'll launch at the beginning of January. :)

And by then it will probably be the BCG Awards.
