We Are Most Amused

Well this hasn't had the best write-up on BBC News, but it sounds to me like it should be bloody good.

The show will be broadcast this Saturday on either side of The X Factor's results programme, on ITV1. That's between 20:35 and 21:35, and then concluding from 22:20 to 22:50.

'BBC Radio 2 row actor Andrew Sachs appeared as Fawlty Towers' Manuel'.

He's 78/9, has done loads of theatre, many TV shows, probably one or two films and yet he will always be remembered for the above. That must really piss him off.

Although I love Brand and Ross, I do feel sorry for Sachs as he will always be associated with this.

Yeah, I'll be watching this, to see the kowtowing showbiz f**ks literally frothing at their brown breaks. Gosh, I really hope some of them are irreverent, that'd be brilliant!

A quick reminder that this is on in 15 minutes on ITV1.

I'll be watching, I love John Cleese, oh and Prince Charles of course :)

Watched the first half with my parents, where my Mum raised an interesting point. Stephen K Amos was on, in my opinion a really funny comedian, where my Mum stated that 'He's Okay, but how come every joke of his has to be about him being black. It's not as if we've never seen black people before' I know what she's saying, but if that's his act, then good luck to him. He's like a modern day Charlie Williams if you get what I'm on about. And Amos is very funny.
Also loved Michael McIntyre and Bill Bailey. Prince Charles seemed amused at Belaruse's national anthem.
Joan Rivers is on soon and to be honest, she's as funny as measles. Not looking forward to that.

God I wish I had measles then is all I'll say.

I'm not too keen on Amos. His material tends to be quite good, but he comes across so sanctimonious and one note - like your mum noted, Jack.

Not me, I've had a vaccine for it. Just out of interest Aaron, which part on my comment above did you edit???

Edited by Aaron. Which part did you edit Aaron?

"Not lucking forward", you'd put.

Lots of comedians are like that. All their jokes about being a woman, gay, or Iranian.

I have heard him do a lot previously that isn't to do with race though. :)

I only saw McIntyre and Bill Bailey, who I thought were great.

It sounded to me like Stephen K. Amos was taking the piss out of his own race and how they have a chip on their shoulder sometimes.

That's what I thought anyway.

Robin Williams just did exactly the same routine as he'd done earlier in the week on The Graham Norton Show. :/
