Drop the term 'bank holiday' because banks are horrid?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18711283

Somehow I can't see the previous name catching on owing to the Barrymore incident.

Calls himself a Conservative Peer? Why doesn't he call it an Occupy Holiday instead, the moany liberal hippy bastard.

Just to be all with it and cool, we should change the name from Bank Holiday to Big Weekend.

'Hey, what are you doing during the August Big Weekend?', even just saying makes you attractive to student birds.

Lubbock Days sounds stupid. Why not make the banks change their names to something more fitting instead? Barclays/Nat West/HSBC Thieving F*cking C*nts or sutin.

It's not as if anyone thinks of an actual bank when they use the term bank holiday, anyway.

Because it might be awkward when my Mum is in Tesco Express and tells the cashier that she'd like to pay with her 'Thieving F**king C**ts card or sutin'.

That sounds too much like Duran Duran's New Moon On Monday.

*RC really does love Nil Putters now*

Nothing wrong with Aldi.

You Southerners should try it sometime or are your only options for supermarkets Sainsbury's or Waitrose?.

Not so sure about Lidl.

Lubbock Day is nice. Reminds me of the great Buddy Holly.
