I read the news today oh boy! Page 728

Almost as funny as the time Deutschland Uber Alles was mistakenly played as the Israeli national anthem...

You should watch some reality shows (The First 48, maybe?) and see what a real interrogation is all about. The killer gangsta usually ends up crying and asking for his mommy after an hour or two.

Been through one and acted as an apropriate adult in 2 (the one I was in has a very embarassing and innocent core).

You know what, they ain't so bad. No one waterboards you or sticks a broom up your ass.

You're really hung up on the scream. Even if the kid screamed it is not proof that Zimmerman broke the law in any way.

You know there's a recording of him on the phone to his girlfriend, it makes interesting reading.

You know there's great arguments for weapon ownership in a civilised society. But in the US your seem hopelessly tangled up in civil rights. Where more or less anyone can own one with out a rational reason. And this example seems to show armed with ridiculously lax legislation.

And you'd even brought your own broom for the occasion. Teary

You couldn't make it up; the arm of Government responsible for putting people into jobs outsourcing work to India...

I hope something big happens in the news soon so we can talk about that instead...

:O It'll be All Your Fault

How about... we're all going to die really soon?

As long as the media concentrates on this story, it distracts us from the thousands of innocent people deliberately being killed each day around the world.

Unfortunately, this story has all the perfect bait for liberals to get involved and air 'their' opinions. So it will run and run.

Lol, you've been going on about it much more than any liberals I've seen!

Uh oh!

I was thinking more along the lines of a nice fun attempted (but failed) assasination on a major celebrity.

FFS, a seventeen year old is dead. He was walking down a private road. Trespassing does not by any stretch of the imagination merit getting shot and killed.
He wasn't trying to get into someone's home, wasn't hanging around the place in a gang, no evidence or reason to think he was casing the place.
He'd gone to the shop and was returning to meet his Dad. He was armed with a bag of skittles and an Iced Tea.
If you feel like your life is in danger and you're so scared you're armed in self-defence, what you tend not to do is run after that person.
I'm surprised that pro-gun people are turning this into a liberties issue, surely it would reflect better on their cause to say the bloke seems to have acted unlike a sane responsible gun owner and isn't representative of them.

N.B I am not getting into this discussion. That is my pov, that is all

Unless you're in the Neighbourhood Watch and have reported 46 different incidents in the last 12 months and you're protecting your home and that of your community from criminals because the police aren't doing their job.

This has been a tragic shooting with fatal mistakes made by both parties - however, the politicians, the media and the activists have got involved and turned this into an issue of race, civil liberties, gun ownership and vigilantism.

Most of the people on this forum thought that Zimmerman went up to an innocent kid and shot him execution style without so much as a Howdy Do. That is why I and DaButt got involved in the discussion.

If people stopped being so ignorant, then I'd shut the hell up more.

;)

nb over here in the uk 5 police officers were seriously injured by a mad dog. That had savaged 2 other people over the last year.

But hadn't been dealt with as no one was in when the council dog bloke called around.

If one one of them coppers had a shooter there'd just be one dead dog, which there was anyway.

Unarmed citizens and police equipped with nothing more than pretty useless cs and aluminium wands isn't the best alternative.

>Most of the people on this forum thought that Zimmerman went up to an innocent kid and shot him execution style without so much as a Howdy Do.

I doubt that many if any thought that.

That isn't the issue at all.

I thought they did have a gun? They shot the dog 4 times or something. Did they have to wait for someone to bring one? (Not that I want too many gory details.)

After 15 minutes or so when the armed coppers turned out.

Time for 3 officers to be potentially crippled.

If one of the on scenes had a shooter might have been none

Ah. Well clearly they should all be trained by Crocodile Dundee to do that hypnotising thing.
