I've lately taken to checking the labels on things in an attempt to buy British, but it's not easy.
I check where fruit and veg comes from, because it makes sense to buy apples from the UK rather than those flown here from another continent, if it means the ice caps might melt a bit slower and my descendants won't all get drowned.
