I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,963

We don't have to be, no. But one can hardly complain if somebody chooses to be (or attempts to be). And why have current news discussion (for which read "political argument") on a comedy site anyway?v

People are welcome to be funny on here and often are, no complaint from me. It's optional though.

My point exactly. Thank you.

Who was Lazzard having a go at anyway? People on this forum or somebody else? It was a bit obtuse.

The Tower For? Surely the Tarif War. Subtitles on ITV news.

If you're talking about about "lunatic at the wheel" it was a general comment.

I think I was talking more about the people think it's funny bit, although ironically I was being a bit obtuse.

There is a lunatic at the wheel.
And we're all in the back.
But, weirdly, some of us think it's funny.
Hopefully they'll be the first through the windshield.
But they probably won't.

I presume you were referring to this paranoid ranting. What's a windshield? Something you put up on the beach?

Windshield is what the Americans call a windscreen.
I was presuming it was an American car as the lunatic driving is an American.
Vis a vis the beach - your thinking of a windbreak.

You still didn't come back re the dodgy math, by the way.
Is that your way of saying you were wrong?

I wonder if he's driven that Tesla yet he bought. Or pretended to buy to help Elon.

I think he prefers a golf-cart.

Has he ended the war in Ukraine yet?

Oh....

Anyway, Trump groupies will no doubt be pleased when his tariffs soon bring an end to good news like this today...

"The UK economy grew by more than expected in February, according to the latest official figures.

The economy expanded by 0.5%, with the services sector having a strong month, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

Economists had predicted growth of just 0.1%, but the ONS said several factors contributed to the surprise rise which was driven by a boost in manufacturing and production."

Old mango ball brains is about to put an end to that

Which is sooooooo "funny"

The far-right anti-Islam activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, better known as Tommy Robinson, has urged the Court of Appeal to let him out of prison early because he says it is making him ill.

Awwww poor ickle Tommy

Woke prick!

Do you mean the man who highlights the Asian rape gangs.
A subject Labour MP's shy away from for some reason?

Odd then that they are going ahead with at least five local enquiries involving a "flexible approach to support full independent local inquiries and more bespoke work, including local victims' panels or locally led audits of the handling of historical cases".

Tommy's a nasty little man.
And racism posing as concern for kids is still racism.
