Let's not forget that an aggressive, expansionist dictatorship has launched an unprovoked attack on a small, vulnerable democracy. These attempts by Trump and his champions to pretend Putin is behaving perfectly reasonably or that Ukraine is in some way to blame are fooling no one.

Well in land area it's the 2nd biggest country in Europe by a long way so it certainly isn't small, and that's why people were surprised Russia would attempt a complete invasion. But vulnerable because of its history of being part of the Soviet Union, and its increasing move to the West politically since the break up.

It sought to join Nato and the EU and ousted the pro Russian president in a revolution, and that was the trigger for Putin to step in, so there's context to the invasion that doesn't get shown on western media. Russian does not want a country that size on their doorstep 'threatening it' with Nato troops or taking its trade away to the EU. I'm not showing support for Putin, just stating how they see things.
