Nothing highlights more how dangerous Trump and Musk are than the fact they sacked three hundred odd nuclear security workers as part of their ideological purge of federal government, and then promptly had to rehire them all because of how vital they are. Well done, chaps, the world's in safe hands.
Sadly that's the state of modern politics. People seem largely motivated not by what's best for them or the country or the world, but by how much the people they hate are p****ed off.

And in their passion for efficiency, the 'geniuses' deleted all the former employees' contact details - causing a real headache.
The Geek shall not, it seems, inherit the earth.

One of my concerns is the global financial crisis in 2008 was caused by lack of regulation of subprime loans. Now Trump and Musk are taking a chainsaw to departments and regulations which could conceivably lead to another calamity that costs the world, not just America. Still, they've got trans women out of those sports none of us ever watch, so that's good.

That is a genuine worry.
The "Quick Buck" brigade are definitely back in the driving seat.

America is in the hands of a spoilt, petulant, arrogant man child with the morals of an alley cat - and the scary thing is, he has surrounded himself with a gang of like minded weirdos and morons

Like I said the other day, in decades to come people will look back at what's happening now and think My God , what the actual f**k were people thinking? Did Covid turn everyone demented?? Did it addle people's brains ?

I fear that there might not be too much of a future. Not a free one at least.

Tis the time's plague, when madmen lead the blind

I might start a business writing jumped-up and false CV's for Labour MP's.
Reeves and now Jonathan Reynolds have done it. There must be some good customers to be had among the rest.
It can't be just those two outright liars, can it?

No

Richard Tice has been accused of "rank hypocrisy" after he appeared to have exaggerated his own business success on his website just a day after mocking Rachel Reeves over errors on her LinkedIn page.

The Reform UK deputy leader claims to have tripled the share price of real estate firm CLS holdings as chief executive from 2011 to 2014.

Labour MP Josh Fenton-Glynn told The Independent the more scrutiny Reform gets, with the party surging past Labour and the Tories in the polls, the more they become exposed.

He added: "Tice's dodgy CV, Nigel's extra jobs and their plans to make you pay to use the NHS. I wouldn't want them running my bath let alone my country."

The usual 2 wrongs make a right excuse.
You just can't bring yourself to criticise your own sort.

Nor can you, to be fair.

Rubbish, every time there is some sort of scandal with your beloved Labour, it's guaranteed there will be a 'but he is worse response.
No condemnation of the subject just weak deflection.

I defend a woman who may have a few irregularities on her CV

You defend a man who was caught bragging about sexually assaulting women by grabbing their genitals

Spot the difference

When a member of the Labour Party commits multi million pound fraud, is caught ringing an election official begging to 'find' votes, who sexually assaults a stranger in a department store, pays hush money to a porn star and extols the virtues of Hitler and his generals - I will be first on here to slag them off

See what I mean.

If embellishing your CV was a criminal offence the jails would be beyond packed and no one would get parole as no could believe a word they said.
