I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,917

Ha ha. I've just read the snippets of his speech but he's right, Western Europe and our own current govt. need shaking out of their left wing dream, which has turned into an interminable nightmare for many of us.

He's particularly right to attack Starmer's clampdown on free speech and his two-tier crackdown on those who speak out about our British values and way of life being under threat from mass immigration. He likened it to Kafka's fiction, while to me, Starmer's crawled out of an Orwell novel to inflict misery on us all. 🤫 Shush, his apparatchiks could be monitoring this thread.

🤔

I'm not sure Vice President Chucky and America are in any position to lecture us on freedom of speech. The current administration has banned journalists from the Oval Office for calling the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of Mexico (thankfully the Enclopeddia Brittanica has no time for such nonsense). Trump and Musk regularly sue news organisations for saying anything vaguely critical of them. Oh, and Trump just replaced the board of the Kennedy Centre with apparatchiks, loyalists and lickspittles who dare not question America's new emperor. Now that's Orwellian.

Praising the absolute nut jobs wrecking America and bringing chaos and instability to the whole world whilst slagging off our Prime Minister

Very British

Very patriotic

Let see how much you love this Orange freek when he puts massive tariffs on Uk goods and it hits our economy to the tune billions and billions of pounds

Imagine if Starmer did THIS (p.s he wouldn't - because he's not a childish f**king cretin).....

About 1,200 to 2,000 workers at the Department of Energy were laid off, including 325 from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), which oversees the nuclear stockpile, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday.

CNN reported that the officials did not seem to know that the National Nuclear Security Administration oversees America's nuclear weapons.

Among those let go were NNSA personnel stationed at nuclear weapons manufacturing plants who inspect nuclear weapons and supervise the contractors who manufacture them.

He is a stupid idiotic moron

Honourable thoughts, but this would come at a massive cost to the world, just as defeating Hitler did. I'm not sure any western country these days wants the guilt of sending its younger men (and women now) off to die for another country's cause, however worthy it may be. 🤔

So all of those Ukrainians (And Russians) who have already died in the conflict did so in vain? No! Putin can't be allowed to win. Give him an inch and he'll take a kilometer.

You're forgetting the removal of books from Public Libraries & seeking to expunge the school curriculums of "unsuitable" content.
I'm genuinely astounded how many so-called "Patriots" (or 'Lord Haw-Haws' as I prefer to call them) are willing to bend over and spread for those heathens across the Pond.
Which is what we should re-name it, by the way.

Yes, your own lurid anti Trump fantasy. 🙂 Morning.

And you think Putin is? It's all evil dangerous Trump Trump Trump on here, hardly a thing on Putin who's killed nearly a million of his own men to get back what he (wrongly) believes is theirs. Trump is actually attempting to SAVE the loss of lives, and still on here it's all about him being the most dangerous. It's got seriously twisted! 🥨

No! As stated when this came up before, Putin is definitely very bad indeed. But nobody supports him on here, so understandibly it is never argued about.
Trump, in contrast, has quite a few defenders on here. The fact it has even become necessary to clarify that the US president is not quite as bad as Putin shows how dramatically the bar has fallen.

Putin is a murdering, lying piece of filth

However even he isn't a convicted felon and a sexual predator who bribes porno stars he has screwed behind his wife's back

Putin , unlike trump didn't regularly attend parties with his friend Epstein

They did however both try to take power by force and violence and threaten anybody who opposes them

And these two despicable shit heads are the two most powerful men on Earth

God help us

True perspective has been slung out of the window on here, like one of Putin's own critics.

Trump is himself a much bigger fan of Putin than you are. Trump would love to be like him. A dictator.

This isn't just about Ukraine though

This is about him not getting his way so it emboldens him to move onto other ex Soviet Union countries on his wish list

Mark my words he would have been utterly ecstatic the night trump replaced Biden

Putin is old school soviet KGB agent - he detests Gorbachev for breaking up the Soviet Union and believes it should never have happened

With trump- Putin knows the resistance to him reversing this has now all but vanished

At the end of the day , for Trump, this is all about him. He just wants to be able to stand there looking smug saying I stopped the war, arent I great? I did it, me me me

If Ukraine gets completely shafted in the process and Russia scores a victory - he couldn't give a flying toss - it's somebody else's problem

He "stopped it" is all that matters

He's a narcissist and an ego maniac

We need to get Trump to give back that bust of Winston Churchill. Winnie really wouldn't be happy to be associated with the Appeaser in Chief.

Quite seriously, I think the Tories should take this line.
It's no skin off their nose - Trump'll be gone if they ever get in power, and it's not like they have any actual real say in the matter.
But it would make some Reform members' head explode - as Tice & Co. are very much with Trump on this - mainly because of his anti-EU stance.
And that's where their battle lies.
But I'm not sure there's anyone left in the party with the brains to work it out.

Compared to 1939, there's maybe a tinge of appeasement and capitulation, but the only real alternative to save the whole of Ukraine is another world war. Ask yourself if you want that. Putin knows the west doesn't want that, it was hard enough to get America involved in the previous two, and we wouldn't have won the last one without them.

America is tired of coming to Europe's rescue, especially when the EU have been so unhelpful to them, the EU just hasn't woken up to that, until Vance's damning speech.

What's being discussed, we are led to assume, is a compromise, whether the outcome's seen generally to be in Russia's favour or not, it won't be regarded as a victory. No surrender by either side, and hardly a victory to the families of Russians who've lost many more family members than the Ukrainians.

Putin never expected that. He'd thought they would just roll over so who really cares about Russian casualties as the aggressor here.

Not clear what line you are advocating that the Conservative Party takes (mainly because you don't specify). But I would think the last thing they need to do is make the "heads explode" of the very people they need to woo back into their fold. Nor do they need to start veering leftward again, which I assume is what your plan would entail.

Still persevering with the idea that everyone who doesn't have the same views as you is a "dimwit" I see.

By "heads explode" I mean "confuse".
By taking a position that Trump is taking an appeasement stance - one which Churchill, supposedly, wouldn't take - it might make them wonder which of the two right-wing parties is more patriotic - a big thing with Reform members.
And I hardly think playing the Churchill card is a drift to the Left.
When it comes to my comments on the intellectual prowess of the Conservatives, even they would ( and do) admit there has been somewhat of a race to the bottom on that front.
There are plenty of intelligent right-wingers - they just don't seem to be able to put any of them in charge at the. moment.
