I read the news today oh boy! Page 281

Probably because Thanksgiving is an American holiday and Bernard was British Mr Murphy.

When a guy who kills two million turkeys a year dies on "turkey day", that's just intrinsically interesting.

I bet he has a bootiful send off.

I worked on Kibbutz where he was worshipped like a God. He helped create the Israeli turkey industry from scratch. Thus helping feed the nascent Israeli state.

I wonder if he'll be added to the list of righteous gentiles along with Oscar Schindler and Colonel PP Malcolm

If you ever worked/lived in Israel you eat a lot of turkey. It's sort of the kosher alternate to pork.

Some fantastic photos from the space station:

Woww.
The night time ones with all the lights are particularly nice.
And the mountain one.

Obvious hoaxes.

Don't you believe space exists?

Space is excellent. I'd love to live on a deserted moonbase.

When my kids get their toys out, it sure don't exist.

Like in that Sam Rockwell film about the moon. I forget what it was called.

Or the Armstrong & Miller sketches with the cock-blocking HAL.

More like Bruce Dern in Silent Running, with three robots with amputees inside for company. One of whom I'd blast of into space at some point, which would be quite a tearjerking moment.

I appreciate that was a giant space-hydroponic garden, and not the Moon, but it's the same thing.

Is it April 1st?

That's attractive...

He can keep it to be honest.

Looks about to topple at any moment.
