It was a reference to the painting by da Vinci, not the actual event that probably didn't happen.
And the bloke in the original painting looks about as much like whoever Jesus was, as the drag queen did.
The painting has been pastiched countless times.
The truth is a lot of people - some pretending to be 'loving' christians - find exuberant gay people distressing - presumably something to do with their own insecurities.
