Caught a glimpse of Starmer on the news - you'd have thought he'd won the World Cup and Eurovision song contest in one swoop - poor deluded fool.

"Well, alright"
"Well, alright"
"Well, alright"
"Well, alright"

Mr Kinnock?

He actually claimed "we're alright"

He was very wrong...

Exactly

The government's education minister said in an interview this morning that these two results "did not show a swing to
Labour"....

Hmm

Education you say?? Like mathematics?

Holy crap on a cracker 🤔🤪

So apparently Sunak is in the process of quickly selling off hs2 land at a big LOSS, clearly just to prevent Labour from reversing his decision to level down the North

There is literally no depths to which this bunch of corrupt bastards will stoop

Scorched earth policy continues...

Having spoken to the head of the Met it would appear that the Home Secretary is demanding policer act on perceived morality rather than black letter laws passed through a democratic process.
It's more than buck passing it's almost emulating Sharia law, which is odd as I thought we didn't want that?
Do we really need to be policed on their whim?

Erm, whatever might possibly get them a few extra votes?

There are lots of people on YouTube who call themselves 'Auditors.
Not as in 'company auditor's - but police auditors.
They work under the banner called PINAC (photography is not a crime)

They film the police at work and at their stations. The law is that you can film or photograph anything you can see from a public place.
The police absolutely hate it and often arrest them under jumped up and wrong charges.
It got so bad with wrongful arrests that the chief of police sent a memo to all stations that it is a legal activity and to stop arresting them.
Hundreds of thousands paid in compensation might have prompted it.

But, it still happens to this day. As in Paddy's post - they police on feelings. The auditors are totally clued up on the laws regarding public photography and stand their ground.
Today, someone will be arrested, searched, handcuffed and roughly manhandled into a car for standing and filming the comings and goings of a police station from the pavement.

They got a taste for it during Lockdown.

Phew

Some flippin good news for a change...

"The cap on bankers' bonuses is to be abolished, the financial services regulatory body has announced.

From 31 October, EU rules that limit bonus payments to twice a banker's salary will be removed in the UK, the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) said.

The policy change was initially announced by former chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng in the infamous September 2022 mini-budget of the Liz Truss premiership.

It was one of the few announcements to be retained when Chancellor Jeremy Hunt took charge of the Treasury."

Republicans getting into a huge mess over electing a new speaker of the house

If that is meant to be sarcastic, forget it. It is almost impossible to do sarcasm effectively on a discussion forum. Just say what you REALLY, REALLY mean!

Of course you've rather disproved that theory by having recognised it as sarcasm.

SNP MP sick of the parties culture of bullying - defects to ... the Conservative party 👀

🤣🤣🤣

I'm sure she'll feel at home with Raab, Priti, Gavin Williamson, Imran Ahmad Khan, Mark Clarke, Alok Sharma etc etc

And Peter Bone

Yes. The only shining light is the Labour Party.
Neer a scandal or trouble in its 120 odd years.

Meanwhile, Starmer is alienating all his Muslim voters by backing the Jews.
