Ok back to slagging off the Tories

At conference, the female Tory going for the mayor of London job - proclaimed to the crowd that she hopes to become the first "female Labour mayor" for London

Dumbass!

😆

Manchester leg of HS2 to be scrapped.
To be announced by Rishi Sunak, whilst actually in Manchester.
Classy.

With those funds being redirected to projects in the south of England no doubt

Meanwhile the chancellor is going to revive that old Tory favourite- let's target the sick and disabled

Jeremy Hunt says he wants those who feel unable to work because of physical or mental health conditions to receive medical and therapeutic help as a condition of receiving their out-of-work benefits uplift, as a pathway back to work. But this seems less than practical - even heroic - at a time when NHS waiting lists and times are at record levels, and goodness knows how or when they will fall to normal levels

Well, they say transport projects in the North - but, you know...nothing specific(!!)

Rishi Sunak's own Tory-run council covering his Yorkshire constituency is expanding the use of 20mph speed limits despite the Prime Minister branding the policy an "attack on motorists", i can reveal.

North Yorkshire County Council set aside tens of thousands of pounds last year to implement more 20mph limits on its roads, with its own impact assessment stating the measures have an "overall positive effect on road user safety".

Last month the council unveiled the biggest expansion of 20mph zones in the council's history, covering a swathe of roads in Harrogate, and seven schools

😆😆😆

*You* can reveal? Or this website can reveal? https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/rishi-sunak-tory-north-yorkshire-council-expanding-20mph-zones-2656753

If you get so much enjoyment from griping about one political party or another, surely you can come up with your own words. Even a link to the original content is better than a low-effort, unattributed copy pasta driveby.

Plagiarism seems out of place in a forum frequented by writers. I think the quality of this forum would suffer if it were to become a mere dumping ground of pasted screeds from unnamed sources.

To be honest, there are several threads on here that are just other people's stuff lazily cut & pasted, with absolutely no creative input whatsoever.
By comparison, this thread is a cornucopia of originality.
Also , there aren't that many writers on the site anymore.
Like me, you're one of the original 'old boys', from when this was a very different place.

Wow , the forum police are really out in force today 🚓🚓🚔🚨

Sorry guv, it's a fair cop, we can't all be dead wordy and articulate n that

Scuse my lazy ignorance

Let me just paste this :-

"Bite me"

I'm okay with pasted visuals, as they tell the story without words. Someone else's words "spoken" in the first-person seem even lazier. Maybe my desire for attribution comes from my days working in a newsroom.

Say "spades in the ground" again mutherf**ker

I dare you, I double f**king dare you!

😡 🔫

Sunak wont hand over his WhatsApp messages to the Covid enquiry, despite a high court ruling telling him he must- surprise, surprise

Further evidence that his first speech as pm was bullshit ...

"This government will have integrity, professionalism, and accountability at every level. Trust is earned and I will earn yours."

Utterly disgraceful behaviour again from this lying, law breaking government
