Not sure - but I think the Queen might have died.

"under medical supervision"

I've been hearing rumours from people in civil service positions for a few weeks that she's very seriously unwell though, so it could clearly come at any time.

Notes being passed around the HofC - glum faces etc
I don't know.
They would be told before anyone else (maybe PM first)

"Get your black armbands here! Only a tenner!"

By the look of the timings, I think the Front Bench reaction was to the 'under supervision ' announcement.
So - we wait.

Apparently, should the worst happen, the BBC are going to cancel comedy for the period of mourning.
Stath Lets Flats said to be not affected.

The whole world: "Come on, Liz, you have to hang on longer than Charles."

We forget that she is loved in many parts of the world.

Well, there is that.

I've long wondered if the policy extends to BBC Studios-owned UKTV. Pretty awks for Dave and Gold if so.

Because it's not funny.

I love the Brits. For the last fifty years we've been moaning there's no money - 'Where does all the money go? No money. Where does all the money go? Credit crunch, recession, crisis, what happens to our money?' - then a member of the biggest waste of money ever dies, and we're all in mourning. It's like Anne Frank mourning the death of Goebbels. 'Oh God, after everything they did for me, sob!' People die every day. Brits die of starvation. Gonna have a national memory day for all those poor f**kers?

It sad the Queen has died, but she is just a random old woman as far as I'm concerned

There was no tributes on tv when my grans died

They were the nicest old ladies you could ever possible meet - where was their national memorial days?

I'm so sad Elizabeth has died. After all she did for me...
