They are using Purdah as their excuse. Anyone else gets their name printed even if it costs their job. So now the great 'Sovereignty' we won means that the police won't tell the voting public if they're voting for a criminal gang until after they've voted? No wonder Pinochet loved coming over here.
Partygate has dragged on for so long it's lost all power. It's not the smoking gun some people think it is. The cost of living crisis concerns voters more, and the opposition should focus more on that and the high tax burden we all face.
It all plays into his character or lack of. Plus I doubt anyone who couldn't see their loved ones laying ill or dead because they adhered to the law he set will want to move on. People died alone while they ate and drank like Romans.

I don't disagree with any of that, I just don't think it's an electoral game changer. And thinking that it is will just lead to more disappointment down the road.
I think its important to be honest as even politically it worries the the tory MP's . This virus was biblical at times and it hit the shires as much as the cities. People stood 6 foot apart in queues to buy food looking scared . I know loads of people who couldn't see their elderly and infirm relatives and friends.
The plod might be stopping this from getting into the canvas flyers but make no mistake every candidate from the Scots Nats to the Greens will still cite them as liars when up peoples paths and it will resonate.
As it stands the Tories are in a fight for the soul of the party. They have no Heseltine's or Clarks , its a gang of chancers with zero skills and very little tact. If they all continue to back this liar then like with Trump and the Republicans , they will cease to be a party and instead be seen as a movement .
