I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,274

Surfaced? My reply was blocked and it was in no way an apology. As for 'Surfacing' don't waste your breath as your Goebbelesque vocabulary doesn't work on me.

Thought not, and WTF is "Goebbelesque vocabulary" meant to mean? I asked you a perfectly civil question.

He was a policeman but he wasn't really one of their own.

I went to school with someone who joined the police but was later kicked out for possessing child porn. There are obviously lots of nasty bastards in all walks of life.

They're man-babies because you don't agree with their opinions?

No, because of how they behave and express themselves. Some of what Piers says I agree with (Harry and Meghan shouldnt have made accusations of racism within the royal family without backing it with details), that doesn't stop me from thinking he's a massive prick.

As usual, you haven't seen them so you try to cast doubt.
You think I made it up?

Bluming heck, so if I say "F** the police" I'm a "far left activist" now ?

Killers and flashers both have well known profiles, so why on earth didn't the Police notice anything ? They interviewed him and closely observe him, if the Police can't pick up warning signs that's the worrying thing. Clearly we need better mental health awareness and support - it's a good thing Prince Harry has secured a deal with Oprah to do that very thing.

What bandwagon are you jumping on now?
I never mentioned left wing.....it speaks for itself anyway.

Stephen you're right you didn't mention it, but the article you posted and rested your assumptions upon uses the term "far left activists". It also used the term "undoubtedly" and posted a very doubtful video, imo. The "Foxhole" has so little credibility, it doesn't even reveal a contact address or name, not even a legal entity on what looks like a cheap DIY website.

I was pointing out the video as there had been doubts.
Would it have been better if it was in The Morning Star

To be fair, you do use 'lefy' and 'left wingers' in your posts , and almost always in a derogatory manner. It's pretty clear which group you blame most, if not all, of societies ills on.

The problem is that the police no longer do what they were set up to do by Sir Robert Peel, viz prevent crime (ie by their permanent presence on the beat). Now, contrary to his original policing principles*, they wait for a crime to happen and then sometimes, but not always, investigate it and try to catch the perpetrator. And because of their absence on the streets, women - and men - are no longer safe when walking them.

* "The goal is preventing crime, not catching criminals. If the police stop crime before it happens, we don't have to punish citizens or suppress their rights. An effective police department doesn't have high arrest statistics; its community has low crime rates"

Get them back on the beat. Maybe bring back Dixon or Panda cars.

Not always is an understatement...

Greater Manchester Police failed to record about 80,000 crimes in the year up to June 2020, a watchdog has found.

In a report by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC), inspectors said GMP's service to victims of crime was a "serious cause of concern" as "over one in five of all crimes reported are not making it onto the books."

The report said the position became worse when recording violence against the person, with 'more than one in four crimes are not being recorded' - often stemming from domestic abuse.

What else do you expect in Manchester?

What else do you expect in Manchester?

The epicentre of arts production in the UK. From bands to artists to stand up comedians. The North West punches way above their weight. Probably due to the dismal weather and appalling Policing record; they need a release. :)

Any police officer will tell you they are disgusted with this man and disown him. The fact he's been to hospital twice since being arrested I think shows what they think of him.

Are you saying he's being roughed up in custody? That might have happened in the past but not anymore. Not only could it jeopardise a murder enquiry there are bodycams and CCTV everywhere. He's probably been to hospital because he's complaining of feeling ill so they have to follow the process to avoid a potential death in custody. When in custody prisoners try it on because waiting in a hospital is better than waiting in a concrete cell and just being tachycardic is enough for a prisoner in custody to be taken to hospital. Most prisoners will be tachycardic just because of being there.

The last place I lived in the UK had almost 20,000 inhabitants but after over 50 years they decided to close the cop shop.Because "everyone's got a phone these days"
